[Great value set including urine collector only]
This set is for those who only need a urine collector. This set is recommended for those who do not need a dropper because the method of submitting urine to the veterinary clinic is specified, those who have pH test strips, and those who want to practice collecting urine.
*This product will be delivered in simple packaging. We recommend the packaged set for gifts.
Nyanpling is a "pee check set" developed by a pet owner who had trouble collecting their cat's urine, something never before seen, that allows you to easily collect your pet's urine at home.
- POINT 1 -
Specially designed to make urine collection easy.
Urine can be easily collected even from children who urinate while sitting flat on their backs!
The low-height oval container can be easily inserted under your pet's bottom and has a wide surface area to catch urine. Even if you let go of the container during urine collection, it stands upright, so you can use both hands to transfer urine to another container using a dropper, etc. It is also recommended for dogs who like to pee outside.
- POINT 2 -
Something that's never been done before: direct urine collection.
Clear urine with few impurities can be collected, making it suitable for urine testing at veterinary clinics.
Since urine does not pass through urine collection sheets, cat litter, sponges, etc., urine with less impurities such as bacteria and garbage can be collected. Collecting urine at a veterinary clinic is a big burden for dogs and cats, so if urine can be collected at home, even dogs that do not like going to the veterinary clinic or going out can bring only urine for urine testing. This also prevents problems such as "When I washed the food tray and used it, there was sugar left and the urine sugar reacted..." or "I went to the vet, but there was no urine in the bladder so I couldn't collect urine..."
Depending on the shape, we have received reports that urine can be collected from any litter box or cat litter, even inside the cage or in a litter box that can be accessed from above.
When collecting urine in a system litter box, the litter box needs to be washed and dried, and the cat litter needs to be changed every time. As the urine that passes through the cat litter and slats and accumulates in the urine collection tray is likely to be contaminated with bacteria and impurities, many veterinary clinics do not accept urine collected in a system litter box for urine tests.
*We recommend using a flat, large, open-type toilet. If you are using a top-entry toilet or a dome-type toilet, remove the lid beforehand if possible and practice urinating. We recommend that you prepare an environment that makes it easy to collect urine before trying to urinate.
If you have problems like, "I just flushed the toilet, but another child used it first!" or "I can't tell which child's pee is this!", you can collect the urine of the child you are targeting by inserting the Nyampling directly under the child's bottom.
- POINT 3 -
The white three-tiered urine collection pocket allows you to see the urine color and volume at a glance, making it easy to check and record your urine.
The three-tier urine collection pocket has a bottom tier of 25ml, a middle tier of 75ml, and a maximum of 100ml. Anyone can see the approximate amount of urine they are receiving. The white container makes it easy to see the color of the urine, the presence or absence of impurities such as crystals, and the condition of the urine.
- POINT 4 -
Eco-friendly paper containers are environmentally friendly
The material used for the urine collector is pulp mold, which is gaining attention as an eco-friendly molded product that can replace plastic. It is manufactured in Japan. It can be easily disposed of as burnable garbage, and does not produce any harmful substances when burned.
In addition, in order to reduce plastic as much as possible, we strive to be environmentally friendly by using biomass products for packaging, etc.
[Urine collection method and usage]
- When your dog or cat starts to urinate or stops moving, gently insert the urine collector under the dog or cat's buttocks. Collect urine before your dog's morning meal, when they go to the toilet first thing in the morning.
- Once urine collection is complete, immediately retrieve the container and check the condition of the urine.
- If you are having a urine test at the veterinary clinic, transfer the urine into a dropper and store it properly.
- Take it to a veterinary clinic as soon as possible.
After use, dispose of the urine collector promptly in accordance with the rules of your local government. It cannot be reused. If you dispose of the collected urine in your home toilet, be careful not to flush the urine collector down the toilet.
If you are taking the urine test to a veterinary clinic, please follow your veterinarian's instructions and submit the urine sample as soon as possible after collection. Veterinarians have different opinions on whether the collected urine should be stored at room temperature or refrigerated, and how many hours after collection it should be submitted . If this is your first time taking a urine test at a veterinary clinic, please check with the clinic in advance about the best time to collect the urine sample and any points to note when bringing the urine sample.
[Tips for collecting cat urine]
- - Most babies will not move once they start urinating, so wait for that moment to insert the container.
- ・Don't rush, move slowly and calmly.
- - Until you get used to it, try inserting the container only when the baby starts to urinate.
[ Do you know your child's urine color, urine volume, and urine pH value?]
The manual that comes with Nyampling includes a dog and cat urine color chart supervised by a veterinarian. It is important to know "your pet's usual urine color." If the color is close to the NG color or if you see sparkling impurities, please consult a veterinarian as soon as possible. We recommend that you take a photo record, as it may be helpful for the examination.
About urinary pH
Dog and cat urine is an important indicator for understanding their health. The pH value of healthy dog and cat urine is 6.0 to 6.5 *. Whether the urine pH is high or low, crystals and stones are more likely to form in the urine, which can cause urinary problems such as cystitis, urolithiasis, and stones. It is important to understand the condition of your pet's urine from an early age. Check the urine at home about once a month and take them to the veterinary clinic for regular urine tests.
*Veterinarians have different opinions on the normal range of urine pH.
Urinary tract disease and chronic kidney disease in dogs and cats
The leading cause of death in both dogs and cats aged 8 and over is urinary tract disease, followed by chronic kidney disease (including renal failure).
In cats in particular, urinary tract diseases account for nearly 30% of all ages, including those aged 5, 10, and 15 and over.

[How often should you check your pee?]
The ideal is to check your pet's urine once a month at home and have a urine test at the vet every 3 to 6 months , but we also recommend checking it on special occasions such as birthdays, at seasonal changes, and when you change its food .
It is also recommended to keep a stock of urine samples so that you can check your urine immediately if you suddenly feel unwell or suspect something is wrong.
The benefits of getting checked while you're young and healthy!
- ・You can compare it to when you are unwell or when you become a senior.
- - By getting both pets and owners used to collecting urine, there will be no panic when the time comes.
- ・Cats in particular tend to hide the fact that they are not feeling well. By the time visible symptoms appear, the disease may have progressed considerably. If you can notice changes in their urine, it will help you detect illness early.
If you can collect urine at home, you can bring just the urine to the vet for a urine test, even if your pet doesn't like going out or going to the vet. Why not start regular urine checks with Nyampling so you don't miss any signs of illness in your beloved dog or cat's urine, which you want to keep healthy forever?

■Notes
- ・"Nyanpling®" is not intended to diagnose illnesses or medical conditions in dogs and cats. If you are concerned about the condition of your dog's urine, we recommend that you bring a sample of urine to a veterinarian for an examination. For health management of dogs and cats, which are prone to urinary disorders, it is important to have a urine test at a veterinary clinic once every three to six months.
- - As a characteristic of pulp molded products, there may be slight wrinkles or black or other colored fibers that originate from the raw materials. This does not affect the product's usability. We ask for your understanding as this is impossible to completely remove during the manufacturing process.
- ・"Nyanpling®" is a disposable container in order to collect clear urine with minimal impurities, which is important for urine testing. It cannot be reused.
- ・Urine collected directly from dogs and cats can be collected with fewer impurities, but it can become contaminated with bacteria as it passes through the excretory organs, or with impurities such as dog or cat hair or cat litter. If you need a highly accurate urine test, collecting urine at home may not be suitable, so if it is your first time having a urine test at a veterinary clinic, we recommend that you consult with a veterinarian first.
- ・There may be situations where it is difficult to collect urine due to the shape of the litter box, the position where your pet urinates, your pet's personality, etc. In such cases, please do not force a urine collection.
- ・To prevent accidental ingestion or consumption by children, pets, or elderly people, store the product out of reach and dispose of it promptly after use in accordance with the rules of your local government. If you dispose of collected urine in your home toilet, do not flush the urine collector, pH test strips, or other accessories down the toilet.
- ・The pH test strips included with "nyanpling®" are for experimental and research purposes and are not in vitro diagnostic drugs. The properties of urine change over time and depending on the storage conditions. The pH value measured at home may differ from the pH value measured by a urine test at a veterinary clinic. The pH value also changes throughout the day. Collect the first urine sample before breakfast, which is said to be the most stable pH value.
