So that you can spend as much time as possible with your loved ones
The number one cause of death in cats aged 5 and over is urinary tract disease.
Common urinary tract diseases in cats and dogs
To maintain the health of your beloved cat or dog, it is important to have a urine test every three to six months.
Nyampling recommends "regular urine tests at the veterinary clinic from the time your pet is healthy" plus "self-checks by the owner at home." We believe that regular checks can help detect illnesses early and extend your pet's healthy lifespan if you notice any changes.
Why not start regular checks so you don't miss any signs of illness that can be seen in your pet's urine?
Nyampling's Commitment
Our goal was to make everything easy, from easy urine collection directly from cats and dogs, health management through simple urine checks and urine records, to disposal after use, and to make the product friendly to cats and dogs, owners, and the environment.
Veterinarian Recommended
Since the properties of urine change over time, it is a good idea to have your pet take pictures of the color and amount of urine immediately after urination, as well as the color of the pH test paper. Even if your pet is nervous and dislikes going to the hospital, if you can collect urine at home, you can bring the urine alone for testing. After collecting the urine, follow the veterinarian's instructions and bring it to the veterinary clinic as soon as possible. Even if your pet is healthy, you should have it tested at the veterinary clinic once every 3 to 6 months.

FAQFAQ
- Can I do a urine test at home?
"Nyanpling®" is not intended to diagnose illnesses or medical conditions in dogs and cats. If you are concerned about the condition of your dog's urine, we recommend that you bring a sample of urine to a veterinarian for an examination. For health management of dogs and cats, which are prone to urinary disorders, it is important to have a urine test at a veterinary hospital once every three to six months.
- Can the urine collection container be reused?
"Nyanpling®" is a disposable container for the purpose of collecting clear urine with little impurities, which is important for urine testing. It cannot be reused.
- I don't know when to collect urine.
Urine pH changes throughout the day. Collect urine first thing in the morning before breakfast, when the pH is said to be the most stable.
- When should I bring urine to the veterinary clinic?
Veterinarians have different opinions on whether the collected urine should be stored at room temperature or refrigerated, how many hours after collection it should be submitted, etc. If this is your first time having a urine test at a veterinary clinic, please consult with the clinic in advance about the timing of urine collection and points to note when bringing the urine. By collecting urine directly from dogs and cats, urine with fewer impurities can be collected, but it can become contaminated with bacteria as it passes through the excretory organs, or with impurities such as dog or cat hair or cat litter. If you need a highly accurate urine test, collecting urine at home may not be suitable, so if it is your first time having a urine test at a veterinary clinic, we recommend that you consult with a veterinarian first.
- How often should I use it?
Ideally, you should check it once a month, but we recommend checking it once every 2-3 months. It is also recommended to check your pet's health at important times such as when you change its food, when the seasons change and other times when changes in health are likely to occur, as well as on important dates such as its birthday, its anniversary, the 22nd of each month, etc.
- Can I use it on my dog?
It can be used without any problems on small and medium-sized dogs. The urine color chart and pH value are the same for both dogs and cats.
- I'm nervous, but can I still collect a urine sample?
It is difficult to collect urine directly from delicate pets who cannot be approached while they are using the toilet, but regular urine checks are very important, so please try to do so within the limits of your pet's ability to avoid causing stress. If it is difficult, please consult a veterinary clinic.
- I would like to know about urine pH value.
The urinary pH value is an important indicator for checking the health of cats and dogs, which are prone to urinary tract diseases. In general, the ideal urinary pH for healthy cats and dogs is neutral to slightly acidic (6.0 to 6.5). If the urinary pH value is too high or low, it may be prone to crystals and stones. The pH value also fluctuates throughout the day. The pH value of urine after meals is higher, so an accurate check cannot be made. Check the first urine in the morning before meals, when the urinary pH value is most stable. There are also diseases that are not affected by the urine pH value, so in addition to doing a simple urine check at home, it is a good idea to have your pet regularly tested at a veterinary clinic.
- The pH value measured in a urine test at the veterinary clinic was slightly different from the value checked using the pH test strips that came with the Nyampling.
The properties of urine change easily, and the pH value tends to increase over time. Also, results may vary depending on the test strips and equipment used at the veterinary clinic. However, checking the freshly urinated urine at home can give you a more accurate pH value, and showing the test strips and photos of the urine to the veterinarian may be helpful in the examination. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us using the inquiry form.
- What precautions should I take when using pH test strips?
Immerse the entire chart portion of the test strip in urine for 3 seconds. Urine is prone to change in appearance, so check freshly urinated urine immediately. The color of the yellow portion in the center of the pH test strip will change. Measure the pH value by the color immediately after dipping the strip in urine. If you want to take a photo to record the results, take it immediately, as the color of the test strip also changes easily.
- There were black spots and stains on the urine collector.
A characteristic of pulp molded products is that they may contain black or other colored fibers derived from the raw materials. These cannot be completely removed during the manufacturing process. They do not affect the product's usability. We ask for your understanding and cooperation. We do our utmost to ensure the quality of our products, but in the unlikely event that you receive a defective product or notice any issues, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the product. We will provide a replacement product or take other appropriate measures.
- Other notes
This product contains small parts such as a dropper container. Please store the urine collector and cat ring set out of reach of children, pets, and elderly people to prevent accidental ingestion or consumption, and dispose of them immediately after use. If you collect urine from your cat or dog and dispose of it in your home toilet, do not flush the urine collector down the toilet. Collecting urine may be difficult depending on the shape of the litter box, the location where the cat or dog urinates in the litter box, and the personality of the cat or dog. It is not suitable for collecting urine from cats that are too delicate to get close to the litter box while urinating. Collecting urine can be stressful and holding in the urge to go to the bathroom can be life-threatening. If the subject is extremely reluctant, do not force the urine collection.
